The ERLAFS (Education for Rural Livelihoods and Food Sovereignty) project has been helping schools to make curriculum partnerships between schools in Wales and Zanzibar for over a decade. All resources developed are shared across the network, broadening the learning opportunities between primary and secondary schools in Wales and Zanzibar and supporting ESDGC and the new Skills Framework. What’s that? What is it for? Who lives there? ……… many questions that can lead to discovery and knowledge about the children’s own locality and their experience of it.
On March the first 2005 Gwenno Dafydd was taking part in the National St David’s Day Parade in Cardiff and ringing a heavy bell similar to the bells used by Saint David. She had a flash of inspiration and decided that a fitting song was needed to celebrate the occasion. At the first opportunity Gwenno wrote the words and her musical partner Heulwen Thomas composed the tune.
A series of interactive Clicker 4 and 5 activities designed to support visits to key historical sites in Pembrokeshire: Carew World War II Airfield, St. Davids Cathedral, Pembroke Castle and Scolton Manor.
